Car Hire
Car Hire can be arranged with us and paid locally on arrival. Alternatively you can arrange your own car hire. We recommend Budget Car Hire based near the Grand Palace Hotel in Hua Hin. Latest prices can be found on their website or by contacting them directly -  www.budget.co.th

Climate
Cool season is from November to February - Dry conditions with sunshine most days and lower warmth. Best time to visit.
Hot Season - March to May - Extremely Hot and Humid
Rainy Season - June to October - Hot humid conditions with rain conditions most days.
Although the rainy season runs from June to October, Hua Hin is lucky that the rain does not hit the coastline as often as other parts of Thailand. Most days see sunshine with the odd downpour during the afternoons or evenings.

Insects and Bugs
As with all tropical climates Thailand has its fair share of varieties of bugs and insects. The villa is on a raised platform and therefore does not experience huge amounts of them. However during the humid weather conditions it is advisable that insect repellents are used. Mosquito screens are supplied to all doors and windows. We also recommend that lights are switched off at night time during rainy weather to prevent swarms of insects who love the light.

TV & DVD
The DVD is capable of playing both CD's and DVD's. There are 3 remotes in the lounge area to cover the TV, DVD and True Satellite receiver. To play DVD's the input on the TV must be set to Component 1. To watch the True Satellite Channels the TV input must be set to AV1. Please advise management of any tired batteries. Please do not remove the viewing card from the satellite receiver. Any missing cards on departure will be charged at £50.00 per card. There are a variety of English speaking channels to view. To watch any Thai DVD's in English you will need to change the audio output on the TV remote. To do this please click Audio and move to the desired language.

Sun Beds
Cushions are supplied for your comfort for the sunbeds in the garden area. They will be placed in the mornings and removed at night by our Housekeepers.

Pool and Jacuzzi
Please note for your safety, that the pool is not observed by lifeguards and by using the pool you do so at your own risk. Please pay inparticular attention when letting children use the pool area. The depth of the pool in the shallow end is approx 1.3m and 1.7m in the deep end.  The jacuzzi pool is also of a reasonable depth and therefore should be used at your own risk.  The pool pump will be activated in the morning and switched off in the evening. To use the jacuzzi jets you will need to turn on the switch which is located at the pool maintenance cupboard door and is clearly marked "jacuzzi". Lights for pool may also be found here.

Voltage
Dont forget your travel plugs as unfortunately they are not supplied as they have a habit of disappearing. They may be found at all good Boots stores or Airports. They are 2 prong voltage adapters.

An iron and ironing board are located in the main bedroom wardrobe for your use. Please do not iron items of clothing on any of the furniture or beds as damage will be charged for.

A cabinet containing a small selection of books and magazine are available for your enjoyment. If you have any excess luggage on your return home, please feel free to leave any unwanted books here.

Bins
The bins inside the house will be emptied on a daily basis. Our housekeepers will ensure that all litter is collected on a weekly basis from the main bins located at the entrance to the property. Please do not move this bin. As with all life in Thailand the collection is very laid back and you never know when they are coming.

Bed Linen and Towels
Bed linen is supplied on all beds and will be changed every 3 days or on departure. Towels are also supplied in both bathrooms. If you require these laundered please give them to our Housekeepers to be done.

Laundry
Only bed linen and house towels will be laundered free of charge.  Any other laundry must be paid for before it is done. A laundry form may be found in the Villa and is available on a wednesday of each week. If you require personal laundry outside of these times please use one of the local laundrettes in town.

Fridge and Dishwasher
Please make sure that the dishwasher and fridge are emptied on your departure and leave the dishwasher door open so that it may be aired in the hot climate.

Security
All doors can be locked in the house and keys will be provided for you. The site is occupied at all times by a member of our Housekeeping staff. However please ensure all windows and doors are locked and closed before leaving the house.

Air Conditioning
Air conditioning is available in all 3 bedrooms along with ceiling fans. We would please ask that all guests turn off the air conditioning not in use to preserve energy and help the environment. The air control may be adjusted using the remotes on the wall near the light switch. Air conditioning has been installed in the main lounge and dining room area, but presently is not available to use due to the small electricty supply currently connected the street the house is built in. The local Head of The Village is currently in the process of updating the electricty supply in this area but we currently told it will not be done until 2010. However ceiling fans are supplied for your comfort and are usually adequate in all seasons.

Electricity
As explained above the supply is small so you will experience some dimming of lights during the evenings when all lights are appliances are in use. Please note this is quite normal.

Housekeepers
The house will be serviced on a daily basis usually between 10.00 and 3.00pm, however if you wish for it to be done later then please leave the door locked in the house. Our housekeepers Dang and Pean speak little English, however they can understand motions and usually can get the point across when showing them things that need attention. If in doubt please contact Dam our representative for any further help.

Kitchen Equipment
We hope that you will find everything you need in the kitchen for those who are self catering. However if you find anything missing please advise us so that we can upgrade our kitchen and help make your stay more comfortable in the future.

Water
The water supply for the house comes from a natural borehole which is pumped and filtered into the house. However we advise all our guests not to drink the water.

Lights
Most of the light switches will be found on the walls illuminated by a orange light indicator. Please ensure all lights are switched off before leaving the house or when not in use. Outside lights are provided for your enjoyment. Help us to help you by please reporting any bulbs that blow during your stay.

Table Tennis
A table tennis is provided for your enjoyment underneath the house in the shade. Bats and balls may be found in the cabinet inside the lounge. Any lost balls or bats will be charged for locally.
